Please note that the VMAC will be submitted to the NRW Medical Association for certification. CME credits are only awarded for participation in the entire VMAC.
Submission of abstracts
While submitting an abstract a wish for poster or oral presentation may be made. The program committee is responsible for the final program outline and the selection of posters and oral presentations. All oral presentations are to be held in English. Please note the guidelines below.
Deadline: 14.12.2025
If you submit a paper, registration for the conference is mandatory once your paper has been accepted. Otherwise, a processing fee of €25 is due.
Guidelines for Submissions:
- All abstracts should be submitted in English.
- Authors are responsible for the literary standard of submitted abstracts.
- 5000 characters is the maximum length for an abstract text.
- It is the author’s responsibility to submit a correct abstract; any errors in spelling, grammar, or scientific fact will be published as typed by the author.
- Submitted abstracts can be re-opened for revision at any time before the deadline.
AWARDS
Younger scientists (<35 years) may apply for the “Young Investigator Awards”. The laureate will be elected by a jury from pre-selected abstracts in a special award session and a poster session. For further Information please click on YIA linked above.
The DGAF awards the
W.H. Hauss price on a yearly basis to foster scientific world in the field of atherosclerosis researcher. Apllications for it may submitted to
info@dgaf.de. Deadline for applications is 01.01.26. For further Information please click on the name of the price above.
Scholarships for Participation
The DGAF would like to particularly support young researchers (<35 years) and enable them to participate in the conference. The scholarship includes € 200 for hotel and/or travel expenses, plus free participation in the conference and the conference dinner.
Younger members of the DGAF can apply for a scholarship by submitting an abstract to the VMAC.
